Hello, my name is Rahayu and i come from Indonesia”.
“Bagaimana hari pertamamu?” Tanya Bunda begitu melihat anaknya pulang. “Jangan tanya, Bun,” Rahayu langsung masuk kamar dan mengunci pintunya. Ia membanting tasnya lalu tiduran. Ia mulai menyesali kepindahan keluarganya.
Perutnya berbunyi. Ia benar-benar lapar rupanya.
Tanpa pikir panjang, Rahayu menawari bekal ajaibnya. “Ini ambil saja!” Anak tersebut tersenyum lebar. “Kau baik sekali”. Ia pun mengambil bekal Rahayu. “Aku suka tortilla,” katanya sambil melahapnya.
“Tadi kamu makan apa?” tanya anak laki-laki berkacamata. “Aku Cillia, kamu?” Rahayu tersenyum dan menjabat tangan teman barunya. “Aku Rahayu”. “Kalau aku Smith. Besok bawa tortilla tempe buatan ibumu lagi ya,” kata anak laki-laki berkacamata.

Cerita Pendek Anak Tiga Bahasa (Indonesia-Sunda-Inggris) Bekal Ajaib Bunda-Bekel Sakti Mamah-The Magic Provision of the Mother

“Hello, my name is Rahayu and i come from Indonesia”.
Since morning, Rahayu has continued to practice introducing herself in front of the mirror. Last week, she and her family moved from Tasikmalaya to London. Today, his first day of school in a foreign country. Rahayu is very nervous.
"Take it easy, Rahayu. Your new friends will be happy to have friends from other countries. "Rahayu's nervousness reduced a little when she heard what her mother said. She immediately left for his new school. Once she arrived in his class, Rahayu was nervous again. She was so nervous, she stammered when she introduced herself.
After introducing herself, the teacher told her to sit by the window. Next to her new bench, there is a girl with light brown hair. Rahayu wants to meet her, but she is shy. All day, she remained silent in class. She hasn't even been acquainted with a single friend in her class. They are all busy with their business.
"How was your first day?" Mother asked when she saw her daughter home. "Don't ask, Mom," Rahayu immediately entered the room and locked the door. She slammed his bag and lay down. She began to regret the move of her family. Her friends in Tasikmalaya are friendlier. When she attended school there, she was very easy to blend in. She even knew all the names of his classmates on his first day of school.
"Father, Rahayu wants to go home to Tasikmalaya," Rahayu said when she was having dinner. "Well, you said you wanted to quickly stay in London. How come you want to go home now? What's wrong? ”Ask Rahayu's father. "They are arrogant. Nobody wants to get to know me, "continued Rahayu. Mother smiled, "if so, you was the first who invited them to acquaintances." "Anyway, I wants to go home to Tasimalaya". Rahayu went straight to the room and left his supper that had not yet been used up.
Rahayu's alarm clock rang, it was time to wake up, but Rahayu was still in bed. "Rahayu, how come you haven't woken up yet?" Mother sat on the edge of Rahayu's bed. Rahayu pulled the blanket. "I am sick, Mom. Is it ok if i don't need to go to school today? "Mother smiled, "Are you really sick?" Mother's hand was placed on Rahayu's forehead. "It's not hot," continued Mother. "Anyway, i don't want to go," said Rahayu. Mother pulled Rahayu's hand to get up, "you have to go to school. I have made a magical provision today. "Magic provision? What's that?Asked Rahayu. "Later you will also knows," answered Mother.
Rahayu was forced to get up and take a shower. She departed with a frown. As expected, Rahayu remained alone. Other children are busy in groups and playing without inviting her. Lunch hour arrived. Rahayu intends to eat in the park alone.
"Oh my God, I left behind". Rahayu turned her head. The girl sitting in front of her searched the contents of the bag and exclaimed forgetting to bring lunch. "You know, Today class until the late afternoon, and the food in the canteen is up. Fortunately, I managed to get the last sandwich, "said the boy with glasses. The girl immediately sat listless. Her stomach rang. She was really hungry.
Without thinking, Rahayu offered his magical provision. "Just take it!" The girl smiled broadly. "You are so kind". She also took the stock Rahayu. "I love tortillas," she said, devouring it. However, then she stopped chewing and said "what is this?" Not good huh? ”Rahayu doubted that the British would like tempeh. "This is really good. Even better than meat. Where did you buy it? ”The girl again devoured the tempe tortilla. "My mom made it," Rahayu answered. "Your mother must be good at cooking," the girl immediately finished. "It's really delicious," she said.
"What did you eat?" Asked the boy with glasses. "This girl gave me a delicious tempe tortilla. "Oh yeah, we are not acquainted yet," she extended her hand to Rahayu. "I'm Cillia, you?" Rahayu smiled and shook her new friend's hand. "I'm Rahayu". "I'm Smith. Tomorrow bring your mother's tempe-made tortillas again, "said the boy with glasses.
All of them scramble to get acquainted with Rahayu. She was happy to finally be friends with all of them. She will not be able to get acquainted with them without the miraculous provision of the Mother.
